Revolution and Moondust.

Right so I definitely think it is time to get excited about the imminent launches from Urban Decay.
First up is Sheer Revolution Lipstick. The news from the brand says this is all about “creamy, badass luxury meets sheer, pigmented colour”. I loved the creamy badass luxury of the original, however they were a bit too intense for me, therefore this sheer pigmented sounding great! I love a shiny finish to lip colour and as this promises to be all the power of Revolution with a sheer and shiny finish, I think they are going to be beautiful.

They promise that they will be;
- Buttery smooth application
- Long lasting
- Creamy feel
- High shine finish
- Sheer yet pigmented colour
- Pigment Infusion system for even colour and long wear
- Maxi-Lip defines, hydrates and plumps
- Blend of oils and antioxidants

…And there are 10 shades available:
 SHEER LADYFLOWER – sheer rose-pink
 SHEER STREAK – sheer coral-pink
 SHEER F-BOMB – sheer red
SHEER LIAR – sheer pinky-brown nude
SHEER RAPTURE – sheer dusty rose
 SHEER ANARCHY – sheer fuchsia
 SHEER SHAME – sheer berry
 SHEER SLOWBURN – sheer orange-red
SHEER OBSESSED – sheer baby pink
SHEER WALK OF SHAME – sheer pale nude-pink

Second up is the new Moondust Eyeshadows. I am so excited because I absolutely adore Urban Decay eyeshadows, especially this line of them and now we have new shades!!

They will be releasing 4 new shades;
ETHER – light purple with pink-blue 3-D sparkle and shift
SCORPIO – matte black with gold 3-D sparkle
SOLSTICE – metallic pink-red with green 3-D sparkle and shift
COSMIC – metallic white with iridescent 3-D sparkle and shift

The Moondust sparkle is so pretty. Rather than chunky glitter, you get an intense dazzle that literally just lights up the eyes. I am a massive fan of this formula even though I sometimes find shimmer a little on the scary side, especially those with massive fallout, however I have never experienced much of that with these eyeshadows. It is so easy to apply – I often use my fingers – and the effect it creates is just stunning. It uses super fine iridescent sparkly metallic 3-D pigmetns for a “luxe, upscale vibe and a gorgeous, diamond-like effect”. It is a powder but it really feels like cream as you apply it, which is why I like to use my fingers. To increase intensity, I apply it wet and it twinkles like you have never seen! Just like all the UD eyeshadows, Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadows come in little compacts you can pop out to build your own palette. They are pale silver rather than gunmetal.

The Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick retail for £15.50 and the Moondust Eyeshadow new shades Ether, Scorpio, Solstice and Cosmic are £14.50 and will be available at www.urbandecay.co.uk from 29th January 2015.

Kiss Me.

Dior -
Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Kiss Me (389)
The new Dior Addict Fluid Stick is one of the few makeup items that actually got me excited this year. I am already deeply (?) in love with Dior Addict lippie and lip-gloss range, and this "lip hybrid that can do it all" peaked my interest. The tube is the same size as Dior Addict Lip Gloss. Firstly, I adore this chic and pretty case but it is a bit heavy and borderline bulky. You can clearly see the colour through the transparent exterior. The inside is shaped like a lipstick bullet, which is perfect for the "Fluid Stick" name. Kiss Me appears as a light ballerina pink from the outside, but the colour on the applicator looks much warmer and darker. Dior Addict Fluid Stick has a creamy and cushiony consistency and Kiss Me is very pigmented and looks as slightly deeper pink once applied on the back of the hand. On my lips though, it shows up lighter and cooler, which is more like the colour you see from the tube.
This is hands down the prettiest light pink that I own.
From the swatches I have seen on other peoples blogs, the bright more vivid colour’s are also incredibly pigmented, however personally I am not really brave enough to wear a really bright, vivid, statement lippy, I am more of the pretty pink colours with amazing glossiness and a bit of sparkle.
I must tell you Dior Addict Fluid Stick is slightly strange. It transforms both in the texture and the colour, which caught me off guard a little. I expected it to be a thicker version of a lip-gloss, however when I first tested it, the colour went on thick like concealer and slightly washed out my complexion.
At this point I was silently disheartened, but the formula warmed up in seconds and transformed into something much lighter as if it was melding with my lips. The colour deepened and ended up looking not only wearable but also incredibly pretty.
It wore really quite well, I expected it like a lip-gloss to fade and wear off pretty quick. However even the shine lasted such a long time and it left a stain to my lips afterwards which meant I only had to put a lip-gloss over it to help regain the glossiness.

Overall, I have to say the boy did good getting this. It’s just as amazing as I was hoping for. Personally, I think it really lives up to the hype! Just slightly wish there were less bright shades.

Have you tried the new Dior Fluid Sticks?
What are your thoughts on them?

Lip Battle.

So. Two of my favourite brands have just released two amazing lip products. Both of them have been incredibly hyped up, but from what I've read they're definitely living up to the hype. I'm only wanting to choose one, however I have a feeling I'm going to end up getting one of each...let me know your thoughts.

ROUND 1: Dior Addict Fluid Stick
'Dior Addict Fluid Stick enables a flawless application in a single sweep: the high-impact colour and long wear of a classic lipstick, combined with the shine of a gloss, all in a thin film that delivers sensational comfort. Colour and shine come together as one for maximum impact with intense, longwearing lip stain pigments directly encapsulated in spheres of gloss.'
Ever since I heard these were being released I’ve been counting down the days till they come in store for me to try out. As of yet I haven’t been able to go to my local Debenhams and swatch them all out yet, but my boyfriend nipped in the other day to pick up his suit and he nipped passed and he says they look pretty amazing (well trained or what!). So now I really want to go try them! The colours seem amazing, they seem to have something from everyone whether you love nudes, pinks, reds or deep purple wine colours. From the swatches online they looks amazing; the colour pigment looks incredible and the shine on them is just mesmerising, not to mention the fact their meant to stain the lips, which makes them perfect for them long nights out.

ROUND 2: Lancôme Lip Lover
Lip Lover is our first all-in-one lip perfector. Its hybrid formula gives the comfort of a balm, the eye-catching colour of a lipstick and the enhancing shine of a gloss. All it takes is a stroke from one corner to the other and back to apply just the right amount your chosen Lip Lover shade. The arrow tip can also be used to perfect the corners and define the contours. Your lips' new best friend, Lip Lover leaves lips utterly kissable.
This is just one of those all rounder lip products that is just amazing for all occasions. I love Gloss in Love, which is the lipgloss sister to this, but when I tried this in store I just fell in love. Its like the ultimate lip product, its hydrating, it gives soft lip colour and the creamy sheen of gloss is amazing. It felt super balmy on the lips and you could really feel your lips becoming more hydrated. There are 18 shades of pink range from icy baby pink, nudes, bright pinks, coral pinks, fuchsia and purple based pinks. Something for all tastes and skin tones.

I know this and the Dior Addict Fluid Stick seems very similar, however a girl can never have enough lip products…can she?
I definitely think this Lancôme one is more for daytime use, due to its balmy moisturizing properties, whereas the Dior one is more of a nighttime lipstick/stain/gloss. It’s also important to note there is quite a big price difference between the two. The Lancôme Lip Lover retails for £18, whereas the Dior Fluid Sticks are a whopping £26.

Which do you think wins the battle?
