Real Techniques –
Sculpting Brush
‘Featuring a wide, angled
head, specifically designed to help create defined contours, the sculpting
brush is a must-have in your makeup bag to enhance your natural features, or to
modify the shape and look of your face. Use with cream or powdered bronzers to
define and contour the hollows of the cheeks. Apply a light sweep of blush for
a soft rosy finish’
– Real Techniques
There has been so much buzz about the
new Real Techniques Bold Metals Brush Collection that their two new brush
releases appear to have gone unnoticed. I am a massive Real Techniques fan, and
I own every single one of their brushes but I have absolutely no interest in
paying high-end prices for their Bold Metal brushes, as they just don’t seem
worth the £20+ each price tag! Therefore, I'm very happy to see that Real
Techniques are still adding to their original brush line up.
The Real Techniques Sculpting Brush is one of the two new brushes, and it is
the answer to your contouring prayers, and I know this is going to be a massive
seller for Real Techniques. The bristles are shaped into narrow oval, which is
what makes it so effective for contouring as it fits into the hollow of the
cheek perfectly. The bristles are quite dense so it can both apply your contour
powder or cream of choice as well as being able to blend it in too. What I
particularly like about this brush, is that the head is quite small, so you can
go as subtle or intense as you like and you can even use it for all over
bronzing, or precise blush application.
If you're a contouring newbie, I think
this brush is definitely worth a shot as it's pretty foolproof as it does all
of the hard work for you and you really can't go wrong. You could even use this
brush to apply powder or highlighter due to the precise shape so it's a real
multi-tasking brush and a total steal at just £9.99. Just like all Real
Techniques brushes, the bristles are incredibly soft and they're so quick and
easy to wash and dry which is always a massive bonus.
Overall, this brush is incredible! Its super soft and works wonders with my new
NARS Contour Blush. Like the rest of the face brush range, the
sculpting brush is sturdy, dense and super soft. I've also given this a wash
and it doesn't shed - I find Real Techniques original brushes are pretty well
made.
