Autumn Reads.

Autumn/Winter is my favourite time to read. The dark nights and the cold weather make snuggling up with a good book a great idea for lonely evenings. Therefore I thought I would share with you some of the great books I have read recently.  I will just include a brief intro about the story, as I don’t want to give anything away.

Autumn Tag.

As it's now Autumn and I've been meaning to do a tag of some sort on here, I thought why not do the Autumn tag…so here it is!

Favourite thing about Autumn?
My favourite thing would be the weather.
It’s not too cold or warm, but there’s that brisk breeze which reminds you Winter and Christmas are just round the corner.

Favourite drink?
My favourite drink would be a hot chocolate, you honestly can't beat a hot drink when the weathers getting cooler. At the moment I especially like Starbucks Peppermint Hot Chocolate. It tastes just like Aero Chocolate!

Favourite scent/candle?
If I’m honest, as much as I like the thought of having candles all over my bedroom, I actually don’t always like them. They tend to give me a headache if they’re on for too long. However, if I have to choose one for this time of year it would be a Yankee Cinnamon Candle!

Favourite lipstick?
I don’t actually wear that much lipstick. I want to try a plum shade, because to me that sums up this time of year lipstick wise. However, I’m unsure about if I’m confident enough to pull it off. Right now however, I love the LancĂ´me Gloss in Love Lip-glosses. They’re super moisturising and shiny, what more do you need in a lip-gloss.

Go to moisturiser?
My favourite moisturiser at the moment is Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. However, I’m going to begin the look for a new serum or moisturiser to help keep my skin happy, healthy and moisturised over the winter months.

Go to colour for the eyes?
I always go to neutral colours through out all months, however at this time of year I also begin to add purple/plum colours into the mix, maybe even with a bit of sparkle for a night out.

Favourite music/band/singer to listen to?
I don't tend to listen to anything different depending on what month/season it is. At the moment I’m loving Katy Perry, her new album is amazing, as well as a few songs from Avril Lavignes new album.

Favourite outfit to wear? (I.e boots and a scarf combo)
I like to wear different things during Autumn, things like my Jack Wills gilet, nice knitted jumpers, scarves and especially my UGGs. Just the normal autumnal clothing, anything that keeps me warm.

Autumn treat?
During Autumn I like to treat myself to a new coat, this year I’m going to get a new gilet because my coat from last year is still amazing and looks as good as new. I also like to buy new gloves and scarves, because I think they really help to cheer me up as the darker days start drawing in. Other then that I wouldn't say I buy anything differently, maybe more autumnal coloured nail varnishes, extra DVD's for them cold nights in, little things like that!

Favourite place to be?
Without a doubt, I love to be out with my boyfriend with/without the dog, wrapped up warm, walking in the fallen leaves. Usually I make him stop by Starbucks after so we can warm ourselves up with a nice hot chocolate. PLUS I love Christmas markets!

Chocolate Inspiration.

Shu Uemura -

Chocolat Donna

Shu Uemura's Autumn/Winter collection I have to say is just incredible, its inspired by chocolate and therefore is rightly named Chocolat Donna. This post is just a quick over view of what to expect within the collection.

This collection includes:
Eye Shadow Palettes – £50
Six pre-set eye shadows in a chocolate inspired palette, however you can also customise it.
Orange & Pistachio Palette; A hint of spicy orange glitter; nutty pistachio, hazelnut and crystallised ginger peel-with gold accents- in pearl. Blend with rich shades of matte milk chocolate with golden accents or define the eyeline with cacao.
Mint & Vanilla Palette; A fresh spice and savoury herb selection that includes glittery golden vanilla and mint, and powdery matte vanilla shades; complimented with pearl mocha with gold accents and rich cacao for defining the eye line.
Raspberry & Mocha Palette; This fruit infused set includes glittery mocha; raspberry, creme mocha and gold accented mocha in pearl; blend or layer with matte milk chocolate with subtle gold accent or rich cacao to define your eye.

Glow On (blushers) – £16
Framboisier; a touch of this luscious berry shade will delight the senses.
Apricot; dip into this sun kissed shade to spice up your chocolate covered world.

False Eyelashes (LE) – £20
Choco-lash, inspired by decorative gourmet chocolates. Brown feather with gold and silver accents add the perfect flavor to any shade of eye make-up.

Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte – £20
Choco-inspired colourful confections ranging from milky beige to hot cherry pink. Matte but creamy and moisturising formula.
RD165; A delicious bright red with a surprising twist! Reminiscent of freeze dried raspberries.
WN275; A wine beige colour to stain lips-creamy milk chocolate infused with a splash of red wine.
PK335; A sugar pink with blue undertones for a moody sugar high.
PK348; Sweet pink shade gives a kissable strawberry appeal to lips.
PK375; Dark cherry colour is as sinfully rich as a black cherry cream treat.
PK376; Hot cherry pink, like a burst of decadent berry coloured liquor filling.
BR761; Mocha brown shade as delicious as a spoonful of chocolate mousse.
BG931; A milky beige shade like cocoa powder dust on a delectable truffle.
BG944; A soft beige shade sweetened with a drizzle of fruity pink syrup.
OR570; Add a zing to lips and dip into this high volume mandarin orange shade.

Overall, this collection is just divine, its so pretty and so wearable. I'm most interested in the Raspberry & Mocha palette and also the Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte lipstick in PK335 and PK376 as they sound like lipsticks I would definitely wear.

Is there anything in the collection which really grabs you attention?!

butter LONDON.

butter LONDON Nail Polish Collection -

Autumn 2012

I have to say, the one thing which grabbed my attention about the new Autumn collection by butter LONDON was how unique the shades are. Usually they have one specific aim eg, different red, pastel shades, however this time there is definitely something for everyone. As usual, it is a collection of edgy and on trend shades, however its not catching my attention as much as past collections.

(from left to right)
Trustafarian: A sage green flecked with gold.
Dodgy Barnett: A grey/silver hybrid.
Lovely Jubbly: A fusion of gold, red and blue sparkles set in magenta.
Shag: An orange burgundy fusion that's all things autumnal.
Gobsmacked: heavy charcoal with a slightly pigmented finish.

Overall non of the colours really jump out at me, however I'm really looking forward to seeing the swatches of Lovely Jubbly and Gobsmacked. These are released in August, and they are retailing at £12 each.

Do you like the collection, which colour are you wanting most?
