Mirror-Shine.

Dior -

Diorshow Fusion Mono Long-Wear Professional Mirror-Shine Eyeshadow

(a mouthful or what...)

Whilst picking up a new blush, I thought it would be rude not to look at the new winter collection. The first thing that took my eye was these beautiful cream like eyeshadows, and one swatch had me utterly in love. They are incredibly soft and highly pigmented, they don’t crease, fade and feel as light as air.
The shade I picked up was Hypnotique (881) (£23.50 for 0.22 oz.) is a smoky, plummy brown with multi-coloured micro-shimmer and subtle sparkle. It has warm undertones and a frosted finish. In a single pass, it was mostly opaque, and from there, it can be layered once more for full opacity or sheered out for a wash of colour.
The texture is a hybrid between gel and mousse, so it has a squishy, pliable texture that’s lighter than a cream but functions much like one. It glides onto the lid easily, spreads and blends well, and can be softened or intensified as desired. It remains blendable for about thirty seconds, and then it sets and stays set without creasing, I had no issues with creasing for fourteen hours.
The Fusion Mono Eyeshadows come housed in a small, glass pot with a screw-on lid with a capped, softly pointed applicator brush that can be "put together" and extended during use. The applicator tip is firmer than a traditional applicator and has a slight rubbery feel. Personally, I prefer to just use a normal eyeshadow brush, which works perfectly well.
If you’ve tried Chanel’s Illusion d’Ombre Eyeshadows, these are very similar, but there were two major differences: the first was that the sparkle in Dior’s seemed even finer, so it had more of a dazzling, sparkling effect; and the second was that Dior’s contain 0.22 oz. (£23.50) as compared to Chanel’s, which contained 0.14 oz. (£24.00). I own both, and now comparing the two its unbelievable how much more pigmented the Dior on is in comparison to the Chanel.

Overall, cream eyeshadows aren’t something I’ve really ever tried, however these are just INCREDIBLE and I really cant wait to get my hands on even more shades…someone point me to the closest Dior counter immediately!
